Today my lovely little daughter has completed 1 year. She arrived into my life like spring season and my life blossomed ever since 6th Dec'12. I really thank the Almighty for this divine gift. Truly motherhood is the best designation for a woman.

This 1 year has given lots and lots of lovely memories to cherish and treasure forever and has changed my life completely. Now I can really understand the love, affection and concern of my mother for me, why she couldn’t sleep when I had colds and fevers, why she cared so much about my meals, why she was overjoyed on my little achievements, etc. When I complained about her being over caring, she always said, you will understand my feelings only when you have your own child. I recollect all the lovely moments spent with my Papa when I see her playing with Ravi, when Ravi dresses her, feeds her baby food, takes her for walk and rides, I really value the sacrifices and affection of my parents after attaining motherhood.

Start from getting pregnant, my concerns for my daughter had started. I cared for every little thing to make her journey to the world smooth and to make her healthy. When I first saw her, it was the happiest moment for me, it brought tears to my eyes. It was the greatest gift of my life. It was the only time when I was smiling while she was crying. As days passed, my bond with her grew stronger and stronger. I used to forget everything and wanted to be with her for every single moment. I forgot my meals to take care of her meals. During nights, I used to check frequently whether she had blanket on her. Her single movement woke me up and I had sleepless nights when she had colds. My heart cried when she cried. As she grew and learnt to smile, I used to be so overwhelmed.

Soon the days passed, and time came when I had to resume work after my leaves. It took lot of courage to part from her, just because I wanted to be with her all the time. She was exactly 5 month old when I decided to go to office, I cried my heart out while parting from her. She didn’t understand but watched patiently and smiled when I hugged her. But thankfully she is lucky that she has the best grandparents to take care for her, to play with her and love her. When I return from office, her smile makes me forget the tiredness of the entire day. Her little steps towards me make me "the happiest person".

On this special day, I wish only the best for her. I pray that she is blessed forever with the best of Health, Wealth and Happiness. May God give us strength that we can fulfill all her wishes and dreams. Love you my little doll.
